Your dedication to both science and patient care has positioned you at the forefront of aesthetic medicine in Asia.

Beyond your medical career, you are a long-time aficionado of fine wine, gastronomy, and cultural heritage. Since 1988, you have been a proud member of the Singapore chapter of the Commanderie de Bordeaux, as well as a member of the Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs and the Knights of Alba. These affiliations reflect your profound commitment and appreciation for the art of viticulture and culinary excellence.

You are also a passionate traveller who explores the world through the lens of wine, cuisine, culture, and history. Every journey you undertake is a pursuit of meaningful expériences, those that blend indulgence with cultural depth.

A strong advocate for healthy longevity, you live by a philosophy that embraces balanced nutrition, moderate wine enjoyment, and a physically active lifestyle. Your days are filled with movement, whether rollerblading, scuba diving, windsurfing, hiking, or motorsports, you embody vitality and mindfulness in every aspect of your life.

Now at 68, you continue to embrace life with passion and gratitude. You cherish the simpler pleasures, time spent with your grandchildren, the warmth of vinyl records, the comfort of a good book or film, and the joy of sharing meaningful conversations with loved ones over a thoughtfully chosen bottle of wine.

We take great pleasure in receiving you, Kenneth Thean, into the family of the Jurade as Vigneron d’Honneur et Bourgeois de Saint-Emilion.

Paul PAK –
Vigneron d’Honneur et Bourgeois de Saint-Emilion

Paul is Australian and the son of Korean immigrant parents who made their way to Sydney where he was born. He came to Singapore for “one year only” in 2006 and 18 years later he’s still here and loving it in the place he calls home.

Paul got a taste for wine in Australia but didn’t learn to really appreciate wine until Singapore. He’s new to wine and still learning, so he appreciates any chance to build his knowledge further with others over a drink…. when he has a leave pass!

Wine is best when enjoyed with friends – Paul was fortunate to meet the Jurade community through his BFF and travelled to join him as “his other half” in their Saint-Emillion wine trip in 2023 which was a highlight.

He’s married with three kids (one is four-legged), he likes to stay active, loves to socialise (or so his wife keeps telling him) and is an accountant by training but not by personality.

We take great pleasure in receiving you, Paul Pak, into the family of the Jurade as Vigneron d’Honneur et Bourgeois de Saint-Emilion.

Cheerawan UTCHAIYA –
Dame de la Jurade

Your journey in the food and beverage industry began shortly after you earned your Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2000, setting the stage for a meaningful and enduring career.

In 2005, together with your longstanding partners in Bordeaux—renowned wine négociants—you co-founded Comptoir Français du Vin. Despite facing the significant challenges of high taxes and a complex market in Thailand, you embraced the ambition of importing Bordeaux wines with a mix of passion and audacity. This journey, now nearly two decades long, is a testament to your perseverance and vision.

Over the years, you have consistently dedicated yourself to promoting the prestige and heritage of Bordeaux and Saint-Émilion wines. At the same time, you have demonstrated adaptability and foresight by responding to the changing tastes and lifestyles of today’s consumers—especially the emerging younger generation of wine lovers.

To further strengthen your expertise, you pursued and obtained the WSET Level 3 certification in 2021, followed by the French Wine Scholar title in 2024. Your commitment to deepening your knowledge reflects your ongoing passion for wine, and your unwavering dedication to sharing the excellence of Saint-Émilion wines with Thailand’s wine enthusiasts.

Cheerawan Utchaiya, it is our pleasure to name you Dame de la Jurade.
